Sock Policy
Socks are required for all children in our play areas to ensure safety and cleanliness. Grippy socks are always recommended for added traction. Socks are also available for purchase at the café if needed.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
For monthly memberships, we require one month’s notice to cancel. Yearly memberships and punch cards are non-refundable. Parties and special events require five days’ notice for cancellations, and a $50 deposit is non-refundable.
Health & Illness Policy
To keep everyone healthy, children with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose or contagious illness must stay home. Please ensure your child is symptom-free before visiting.
Age Policy
The infant area is reserved for children 18 months and younger. Children over 18 months are not permitted in this area unless directly supervised by their caregiver. Failure to supervise an overaged child may result in staff asking the caregiver and child to leave, with one verbal warning provided beforehand. The Mini-Town area is reserved for children 18 months and older, with a recommended age of 2–6 years. Older siblings and parents are welcome to participate alongside younger children.
Behaviour Policy
All children are expected to behave respectfully while at the café. Verbal or physical abuse toward children, caregivers, or staff is not tolerated. We have a zero-tolerance policy for aggression toward our staff or other visitors. Failure to comply may result in staff asking the caregiver and child to leave, with one verbal warning provided beforehand.
Safety & Inspection Policy
We are dedicated to creating the safest environment possible for all visitors. All play structures and builds are inspected by a certified inspector, and maximum capacity for each area is determined in accordance with the fire department. Regular fire safety checks are conducted to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, staff perform daily inspections of equipment and play areas for cleanliness, damage, or hazards, and will temporarily close any equipment if a safety concern arises. Caregivers are encouraged to report any concerns to staff immediately to help maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Supervision Policy
Children must be supervised by a caregiver at all times. Our staff are here to ensure a safe environment, but are not responsible for individual supervision. Failure to comply may result in staff asking the caregiver and child to leave, with one verbal warning provided beforehand.
Lost & Found Policy
Little World is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Any items found in the café will be kept in our Lost & Found for a limited period. Caregivers are encouraged to label their children’s belongings and check the Lost & Found promptly if an item goes missing. Unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of after a reasonable holding period.
Closure Policy
Little World may close in the event of extreme weather, power outages, or other emergencies. The café also reserves the right to close for special events or unforeseen circumstances, including illness. If you had a booking on a day the café closes, you will be fully refunded or credited to rebook at a later date.
Injury Policy
Caregivers are responsible for supervising their children at all times. Little World is not liable for any injuries that may occur while visiting the café. By entering the play areas, caregivers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with play.
Sign Your Consent
The policies outlined above are summaries and may not reflect the most current updates. All caregivers are required to complete a consent form for each child prior to participation.
Consent forms can be completed online when creating an account with us. You can review the form, sign it electronically, and the consent will be securely stored in your account.
Alternatively, forms can be completed in person at the café. We provide an iPad for account creation and electronic signing, or a paper copy is available if you prefer.
